Global Super 8 Day!

Hello!

I'm writing to let you know that Monday, January 8th is Global Super 8 Day! Last year close to 30 cities around the world held screenings of Super 8 films on January 8, 2000!

Unfortunately, we are not as organized this year as Saro of Zurich is not able to coordinate the events like they were last year. But I have gotten word that several cities in Europe (Amsterdam, Dresden) are still going to be holding Super 8 days!

In Buffalo, we are planning yet another Global Super 8 Day. It will be held on Monday, January 8th at Squeaky Wheel. Tentative guests include Super 8 filmmakers from Toronto (John Porter) and Boston (Chelsea). As well as film sent through the mail from Wenhwa Ts'ao(Chicago) and David Pfluger(Switzerland). I'm hoping we will have a good turn out of Buffalo-based Super 8 filmmakers, as well.

Please show your support for Super 8 film! Attend a screening! Have one of your own! There is still time to shoot and process a film in time for the 8th!
